Adedoyin is an African Business Leader and Tech-preneur with almost 30 years of professional practise, focused on enhancing the strategic value of IT in organizations through value-adding interventions across the information value chain. She has led industry initiatives to strengthen and enhance IT Governance, Risk and Compliance processes, practices and skill sets to significantly impact business and institutional performance. Over the years, she has gained deep competencies in business management, strategic business/IT alignment, Information Security, IT Governance, Risk Management, Project Management and e-business.
Adedoyin is the founder and Group MD/CEO of Digital Jewels Ltd (DJL), a leading IT GRC consulting and Capacity Building Firm with branches in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda alongside a footprint in 9 African countries and an enviable track record of consistent high-value delivery. Digital Jewels is today the only Professional Services Firm in Africa to be certified to ISO27001:2013 (global Information Security Management System Standard) and ISO9001:2015 (Global Quality Management System Standard) as well as being a Qualified Security Assessor for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS QSA). Making it the only such professional services Firm in Africa to be so accredited. In the public and private sector across sub-saharan Africa, Digital Jewels has strengthened IT Processes, built capability and capacity of IT professionals and improved the ROI and benefit realization of IT investments through the application of global best practice most notably in Cyber and Information Security, IT Governance, IT Service Management, Business Continuity Management and Project Management.
Adedoyin’s previous experience encompasses Software Design and Development, Research and Consulting in ICT, Business Strategy, Project Management, Process Improvement, as well as extensive Capacity Building at organizations such as the Lagos Business School and Phillips Consulting, where she resigned as Executive Director in charge of the Information Systems and e-business Practice in 2008 to start-up Digital Jewels Ltd.
Adedoyin has deep business and subject-matter expertise and holds a myriad of global certifications—some of which include the: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified COBIT 5 Implementer and Assessor. Adedoyin Odunfa holds a B.sc (Combined Honors) in Computer Science and Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University and an MBA (Information Technology & Management) from the City University Business School (now CASS Business School) in the UK.
As an erudite speaker, trainer and GRC expert, Adedoyin has championed several industry wide initiatives. She has occupied notable African and global platforms, providing subject matter expertise, moderating panels and giving keynotes. She has also designed and facilitated numerous training programs, led a number of impactful research initiatives and presented at international conferences. Adedoyin is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) (and sits on the IIA Nigeria Board), Initiative for Global Development (IGD), Institute of Directors (IOD), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC) 2 and an accredited consultant under the SFIA Foundation (Skills Framework for the Information Age).
Adedoyin sits on a number of Boards and was recently listed among the top 20 FINTECH Women in Nigeria (2019) and Top 50 Women in Cybersecurity in Africa (2020). She is happily married with lovely children.
